Wow. I'm glad you were vigilant and cautious about using that hose. Can you find the stainless steel hose that's used for plumbing and washing machines. Have a safe trip.

Thanks, Sheila! I'm really glad I decided not to take the chance at all. I'd probably still be in recovery from that.

I've never seen a metal drinking water hose before for RVs. I'll see if I can find one. Thanks!

It sounds like something crawled into your hose and died, or pooped and left! Either way I'm glad you chucked the hose. We've had bad luck with hoses - the heat here is devastating. We finally got a metal hose.

I think you're right about the hose. My mom said the same. She was pretty happy I had taken it seriously and not just shrugged it off.

What happened to your hoses in the heat?? Did the heat melt it?

Believe it or not, it's chilly in New Mexico. I have the heat on right now. 😅 I made sure I only booked stays with full electrical all the way across the US though, after our conversation re the heat.

I'm glad to hear you took my advice. I hope it proves helpful. Our hose got soft and stuck together - I always worried about what chemicals leaked from the rubber with the heat. Maybe that's just me being paranoid. Chilly? I could use some of that. We've had rain now (go figure) every day for over a week but the heat and humidity are still here. I think I'm growing fungus!

It melted and stuck together??? My goodness. I've never seen that before. I didn't even know that could happen because mine has held up to triple digits in the desert. Wow!! 😶

Yes, the rain is why it's been chilly here in New Mexico. Not a lot of sun and I'm in the mountains. Mom said Georgia has been getting some pretty terrible thunderstorms as well.
