Rocky Point (Puerto Peñasco) is one of my favorite RV destinations in the Desert Southwest. You can't beat being a block away from the beach or even being on the beach itself. Bars, restaurants, stores, and everything else you need are within walking distance or a quick bike ride away. However, those summer temperatures and record-high humidity might make you think twice.
If you're escaping Phoenix, where summer temperatures reach 130 degrees, 90s by the beach might not sound so bad. However, humidity has a way of making even 80-degree weather feel like an oven. Even so, I highly recommend making a trip to Rocky Point during its off-season.
