Life After Google: What's Next for Me in Spain
I'm a lot more optimistic than I expected to be at this point.

Last week, I shared that Google had laid off my team just 10 days after I moved to Spain. Losing my dream job was bad enough. Losing my team and income after moving to a foreign country was stressful, to say the least. I still needed to get an apartment and complete the immigration process—all of which cost money.
There were definitely some days when I wondered whether it wouldn’t be easier to pack up and head back to Atlanta. I have the visa now anyway, so I would still have three years to make use of it before Spain decided whether they would renew it.
However, the news in America this morning sobered me up fast! Here’s what’s happening in my life in Spain and what my plans look like.
