Last week, I shared that people drive like maniacs in Baja California Norte. I first noticed this while visiting Mexicali in 2021 and have only received more confirmation after moving to Baja in 2022.
However, it's not all bad. There are some unique driving habits that we could all benefit from in the United States. I'll let you in on some of the secrets so you know how to respond to behavior that will seem peculiar by American standards.

The Left-Turn Pullover
The main roads and highways in Baja are well-maintained. However, you might have just two lanes of traffic in the mountains and some rural towns. The roads running through these areas don't always have room for turning lanes. So, what do you do if you need to make a left turn and traffic is in the oncoming lane?
