Here's Why You Should Consider Healthcare in Mexico
Mexico has a lot more to offer than beaches and tequila.
In October 2020, I drove across the southern border with my RV for the first time. My parents joined me there a few days later.
As we walked through the town together, Mexicans constantly asked us if we wanted medication.
Real medication. From pharmacies.
Some recommended doctors if we needed prescriptions.
We thought this was strange for the first few days. But then, Mom needed painkillers and finally walked into a pharmacy.
She couldn’t believe the prices!
That’s when we started to understand that Mexico has a very strong health tourism sector. You can find pharmacies on just about every street, and the healthcare itself is really good.
I don’t know everything about Mexico’s healthcare industry, but here’s what I can share.
1. Some healthcare is free!
One of my friends told me a story about taking his son to the emergency room in Rocky Point. If I remember correctly, his son had a severe allergic reaction and needed immediate medical attention. He said the doctors took excellent care of him and handled the situation as well as he could have hoped.
