Here's How to Prep Your Rig for Boondocking
It's a lot easier than you think, but it will cost you.

After giving up my New Mexico lot in the summer of 2022, I accepted an invitation from friends to stay with them. They were renting a 100% off-grid cabin on about 10 acres of land for the summer, near Gila National Forest.
I eagerly accepted — ready to put my off-grid gear to the test.
When you’re off-grid, there are six things that will matter most:
Water
Electricity
Sewer
Security
Laundry
Internet
If you choose to boondock at an LTVA campsite or any other established campground, you might have access to some facilities. These might not be on your lot, per se, but you might not have to go far to get them.
1. Water
When boondocking, you will have two water concerns: availability and portability.
