When my friend told me she was headed to Galicia with her husband for the Christmas holidays, I had only one question:
Can I come??? 🥹
To my surprise, they happily extended an invitation. My friend had been talking nonstop about Santiago de Compostela for a year and was excited to show me her favorite city. Her husband also looked forward to showing off his hometown and giving me a taste of life in the countryside.
Santiago is the capital of Galicia, a northern Spanish autonomous community. But I didn’t see it until my last day of the trip. Instead, we headed to a coastal town in A Coruña, one of Galicia’s provinces.
