Adventuring in Spain: Here's What My Mom Thought of Málaga
I can't believe she didn't like the paella!

Convincing my mom to come to Spain took a lot of work. It wasn’t that my mom isn’t a well-traveled lady or didn’t genuinely want to visit her only child halfway across the world. What she worried about most was the length of the flight and the cost. I assured her that if she bought the ticket, she would have an excellent time at my expense.
And boy did I deliver! I booked and paid for our full itinerary weeks before she ever landed in Madrid. We spent most of her time here in my new home city, but I was dying to show her around Málaga. I also hadn’t been back since I visited in March 2023, so I was looking forward to seeing my favorite Spanish city again!
It did not disappoint.
